There is an urge within most of us to make a difference.
The difference is in how we're wired, and when and how we do
just that..... Sometimes we humans just never get off the dime.
At Hugs, we have been focused on this mission "...to make a
difference every day...one child at a time..." for nearly thirty
years; and we do it every day.
That doesn't make us special. We don't think so, and neither
should you. It's just where we've chosen to focus our time
using the particular gifts we were given.
We would love for you to join us in making a difference for
those with whom we work, and for those whom we chose to
serve. You'll never be sorry you did! We could certainly use
your prayers and support. Let us be the eyes and ears for your desire to make a difference. WE would be honored to act
on you behalf.
WHO WE ARE!.........

Pat and Judy McAtee are the co-founders of HUGS, licensed as HUGS OUTREACH in the State of Illinois as a not for profit
corporation.
Pat is a Railroad executive of nearly twenty-five years and Judy is a stay-at-home-mom, Homeschool teacher, and a successful
Dog breeder of Shi-Tsu puppies at Caatimpond Shi-Tsus....(Caatimpond.com).
They are the parents of twelve children, and three are grown and successful young business people.
Together, Pat and Judy work side-by-side engineering ways to channel limited resources into needy families
and 'partnering' ventures around the world.
Pat was born and raised the midwest, spending his childhood in Kansas City, and his adult years in the Chicago area.
Judy was born and raised in Elgin, Il. where the McAtee reside in a rural outskirts of town...
There, they base their efforts to help the needy and homeless, every day of their lives.

Current projects:
* Partnering with urban programs to provide Home School education of children and indigent adults,
unable to afford the daycare costs of getting into formal programs. We hope to raise $20,000 toward the educational and operational needs
of this outreach.
*Support of two orphanage projects, including the fundraising for a $40, 000 annual operating program, to
make room for, and feed, thirty more orphans and children off the streets in Mexico. These children did not chose
their circumstances; they are victims of abandonment, neglect, and abuse. Without our help soon, they may be the next drug
runners thriving off of American youths' tragic pastimes.
*Mission planning for a volunteer team to help construct the new Mexico orphanage of a parner in
'08. We would love to subsidize the costs of youths who join the trip.
*Continuing counselling services to adopting couples, free of charge. We hope to raise $25,000 to defer the costs
of adopting couples in '08. We have counseled hundreds of couples over a two decade time span. Nothing we do is more rewarding
with immediate imacts felt.
Continue our urban ministries by collecting and distributing furniture, Christmans presents, Clothing, and household
needs to needy families. We hope to raise $5000 in '08 toward our Urban Ministries program.
A Bricks and Mortar fundraiser
Even $ 5, $25, $250 is appreciated and will not go to waste. No amount is too small. You will not go unappreciated
here!
$30,000 is still needed for our new orphanage.

God loves a cheerful giver.
